If the power goes out do railroad crossings stop working?

Many crossing devices have a battery backup mode and will work for a time if the power goes out.



Not all of them do, the best crossing devices are safe attentive drivers, when those become common the need for all other crossing devices become un-necessary.
who would of thought that.?
